This site is archived. We do not accept new comments. Existing comments left on the original WordPress versions of these articles are preserved as part of the historical record and are visible to anyone who visits the post — each preserved comment shows the visitor name they submitted at the time, the comment text, and the date.
An anonymized hash of each commenter’s email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to display an avatar next to the comment. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

This site sets no analytics or tracking cookies of its own — there is nothing to opt into, and no cookie banner.
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set strictly necessary cookies for technical purposes such as bot management, security challenges, load balancing, and rate limiting. Cloudflare classifies all of these as strictly necessary and does not use them for tracking. A few posts include Amazon affiliate links — both to my own ebooks and to books by other authors I recommend. If you buy through one, Amazon may pay me a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon processes any such transaction according to Amazon’s privacy notice.
When you follow one of those book links, the click passes through my own site first, which keeps a simple count — which book, from which page, and which country — before sending you on. No cookies are involved and nothing identifies you personally; it just helps me see which recommendations readers find worth following.
