I also know a few people who could use this or maybe some ADHD drug…sometimes, perky people drive me up the wall. Sometimes, it is a mask for depression.

Just before one of his guests came on stage, David Letterman held up a publicity photo of the woman. She radiated perk, energy, smile, glowing personality, etc. Letterman looked at the picture for a moment and then said: I get worn out just looking at this. Right on! Of course, he’s one of us, not one of them. 😉

I thought this was hilarious when I saw it the first time on another blog…it still is. Mine post for this is scheduled already!!

LOL! I always thought moving to Sweden might be a good idea. With the high suicide and depression rate and long winters, I’d fit right in and not have to be self-conscious about being sad and anxious. But this remedy might save me the trip.

      Hi, Karen –

Let’s hope it does save you from becoming an expat in Sweden. All our American smiles and good cheer to perfect strangers seem baffling to people of many other cultures. I think it’s real progress to expose the widespread extent of major exhilaration disorder. Help is on the way for all those being worn out by uncontrollable smiling and outbursts of enthusiasm.
